Workshops

What’s on, and what we’ve run

Our workshops are free and run in a community spirit. Here’s what’s currently scheduled and an example of one we’ve delivered.

No public session scheduled

Nothing on the calendar right now

We don’t have a public workshop booked at the moment — but we’d genuinely love to run the next one. If there’s a topic you’d find useful, tell us. Enough interest and we’ll put a session on.

For councils, schools & community groups

Host a workshop for your community

Are you a council, school, library, charity, or community group who would like to put on a technology or AI workshop for the people you serve? We would love to help. We can tailor a free, friendly session to your audience and run it at your venue or online.

What we can cover

Practical topics, explained in plain English

Sessions can focus on any of the areas below. We start from the basics and build up gently, so you can follow along whatever your starting point.

Computing basics for business

Get comfortable using everyday, industry-standard software to handle common business tasks, from documents and email to simple spreadsheets.

Practical AI for everyday work

See how the latest AI tools can save you time on writing, planning, and routine jobs, with friendly hands-on guidance and no technical background assumed.

Websites and online presence

Understand what makes a good website, how to be found online, and how to present your business or group well on the web.

Staying safe online

Learn how to spot scams, set strong passwords, and keep your information safe, so you can use technology with more peace of mind.

Useful productivity tools

Discover simple, free and low-cost tools that help you organise your work, keep track of tasks, and get more done with less fuss.

Getting more from the tools you have

Already using a computer, phone, or favourite app? We will help you make the most of the tools you already own, often without spending a penny more.

Who they are for

Everyone is welcome

Our sessions are designed for people with little or no prior experience, as well as anyone who simply wants to feel more confident. You do not need to be an expert, and there is no such thing as a silly question.

Small businesses

Owners and teams who want to use technology more confidently and free up time for the work that matters most.

Community groups

Local groups and clubs looking to organise more easily, reach more people, and make the most of digital tools.

Charities

Charities and not-for-profits that want to do more with the resources they have and connect better with their communities.

Individuals

Anyone who would like to feel more at home with computers, phones, and the internet, at a comfortable and unhurried pace.

Always free and community-focused

DACCAA has been based in Stafford since 2012, and our workshops are part of how we give something back. They are free to attend and run in a friendly, community spirit, with the simple aim of helping more people get comfortable with technology.

In Stafford and beyond

We run sessions across Staffordshire and the West Midlands, including Wolverhampton and Birmingham, as well as further afield in cities such as Brighton and London, plus online. If you are not sure whether we can reach you, just ask.
