Windows 10, the latest release of Microsoft's Windows operating system. Windows is favoured by many as an operating system, especially for people who play video games a lot. After the recent failure of Windows 8, what is Windows 10 like? Is it any better?

There are many general improvements to Windows 10, this means that it is a stable reliable release. However there has been lots of problems with the release of Windows 10 and the support of different hardware updates. I personally had difficulty upgrading a PC to Windows 10 with my Graphics card. However this seems to be a lot better now with new updates.

Having Cortana seems like a nice idea, however, I cannot help feeling that it is pretty useless. Most PCs do not have a Microphone connected to them, so you cannot communicate with Cortana in the way intended. Even so, when I have had a microphone connected, she struggles to understand me. I do not believe that Cortana in her current stage is of any use.

Xbox Games App

Now, I love the Xbox app. The Xbox app lets me easily view notifications from my Xbox on my PC, it lets me record game clips on my computer, it lets me interact with my friends on Xbox. This is a very good app. However, I also agree with many other people out there who say that this app should be uninstallable - which it is not. I feel that this app may be the way forward in the bridge between console and PC gaming.

Once again, I will say that the only good thing Edge can do, is download Google Chrome for me. I said that before with Internet Explorer and I will say it again with Edge. I have tried using it, I just personally do not like it. Chrome is faster, smarter and a lot more advanced. The support that Chrome has for all of the different programming languages out there is amazing, especially when compared to something like Internet Explorer which really suffered with programming language support.

So, these are a few key things that I have noticed so far with the usage of Windows 10.

Overall I feel that it is an improvement however I feel that some of the features are just a bit of a novelty. Whilst I feel that, I still would recommend this operating system and rate it highly. Let me know what you think in the comments.
