Could Edge make the comeback it needs?
Microsoft Edge

Microsoft Edge was meant to be Microsoft's new web browser. The browser that got Microsoft back to where they were with Internet Explorer. IE has always led the way, up until recently, in the browser game. The default browser that many never changed from. Suddenly Google Chrome sprang from nowhere. Google Chrome offered a lot more for developers and users alike - this was what made it so appealing. Microsoft has always used pretty ancient (by comparison) rendering systems in their browsers. This is what, I believe, ultimately led to their failure.

A change of heart

Recently Microsoft announced that they would be changing to the Chromium rendering engine - that which is used by Google Chrome. This was an unexpected move from my perspective but maybe the right move. Opera recently switched over to the Chromium engine and any new modern browser uses it too. It is much more flexible and better able to render websites.

Is this enough to save Microsoft Edge? Let me know what you think in the comments.
